FAQ
Gearbox FAQ: Ratios, Torque, Backlash & OEM Export
Answers from our documentation package — useful before you submit an RFQ.
What helical gearbox ratio range and output torque are typical?
R series inline helical gearboxes commonly cover ratios about 5:1 to 70:1 (and higher in multi-stage builds). Output torque depends on model — up to roughly 18,000 N·m on larger frames. Share motor power, input speed and duty for a selection chart.
When is a worm gearbox self-locking (e.g. 30:1)?
S series helical-worm gear reducers can provide self-locking behaviour at higher ratios (often around 30:1 and above, subject to efficiency and load). Ideal for vertical lifts and hold-position duty — confirm with application data.
What planetary gearbox backlash suits a servo motor?
Precision planetary gear reducers can reach low backlash in the ~3 arcmin class for servo integration. Confirm flange, sleeve and inertia match for your servo brand.
Do you supply irrigation gearbox for center pivot sprinkler systems?
Yes — outdoor agricultural / irrigation gearboxes with corrosion protection for center pivot and related farm drives across Southeast Asia.
Which gearbox for conveyor belt, cement mill or mixer agitator?
Conveyor belt: F parallel shaft or K helical bevel. Cement mill auxiliaries: K heavy-duty helical bevel. Mixer agitator: R/S or planetary depending on torque and sealing. See building-materials and food application pages.
How do I choose among R / S / F / K helical gearbox families?
R for coaxial/compact; K for heavy-duty right-angle (including hollow shaft bevel K series); F for large center distance; S for self-locking and wide-ratio vertical drives.
Are you an OEM gearbox manufacturer for China export to ASEAN?
Yes — OEM gearbox manufacturer China export programs with private label and drawing-based customization for Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and beyond.
