Key F Series Specifications
The F series covers power ratings of 0.12–200 kW and torque ratings of 110–18,000 N·m. Standard gear ratios range from 4.3 to 273; F/R combinations can reach a maximum ratio of 18,509. Both solid-shaft and hollow-shaft outputs are available. Average efficiency is approximately 96% for two-stage units and 94% for three-stage units.
F Series Model Configurations
Configurations include the F type with solid-shaft output for coupling connection, the shaft-mounted FA type, the flange-mounted FF type and the flange-mounted hollow-shaft FAF type. The basic model range comprises ten frame sizes from F37 to F157. Mounting options include foot mounting, hollow-shaft mounting, flange mounting, torque-arm mounting and small-flange mounting.

Selection Advantages of the Parallel-Shaft Layout
Parallel-shaft gear reducers offer simpler construction than bevel gear reducers. They do not have a bevel gear stage and its associated axial force arrangement, allowing a simpler bearing configuration. This does not mean that helical gearing is free of axial thrust. Transmission efficiency is high, with standalone unit efficiency reaching 95% or above. A range of mounting arrangements provides installation flexibility.
