K Series Bevel-Helical Gear Reducers in Right-Angle Drive Applications

When a Right-Angle Drive Is Needed

Bevel-helical gear reducers are well suited to layouts where the input and output shafts must be at 90 degrees. Typical applications include screw conveyors, particularly vertical or inclined arrangements; cooling tower fans; mixers whose motors must be perpendicular to the agitator shaft; and selected lifting mechanisms and auxiliary rolling mill drives.

Applications in Cement and Mining

Cement and mining are important application areas for right-angle gear reducers. Ball mills, vertical mills, rotary kilns and conveying equipment often require right-angle drive layouts. The K series bevel stage changes the drive direction efficiently, while the cylindrical gear stages provide the required reduction ratio. Carburised and hardened gear teeth offer high load-carrying capacity for heavy-duty operating conditions.

Opportunities in South African Mining and Egyptian Cement

South African mining and Egyptian cement production generate continuing demand for right-angle gear reducers. SANYOO’s K series uses a modular construction, with sizes, principal parameters and gear ratios based on preferred number series. Highly standardised and interchangeable components facilitate production planning and short lead times. Gear accuracy meets DIN grade 6, and ground cylindrical gears support smooth, low-noise operation.

Experience in Heavy Industry

SANYOO products are widely used in power generation, coal, cement, metallurgy and ports. The Group has established long-term strategic partnerships with major Chinese companies, including China First Heavy Industries, Baosteel Group, Shanghai Electric and Zhenhua Heavy Industries. This experience provides a technical foundation for supporting overseas heavy industry projects.
